Creamy Bratwurst Pasta

Serves 4

Cook & Prep: 25 minutes

 

16 oz. pasta of choice

1 lb WNR pork bratwurst links

8 oz. cream cheese

1 (14.5 oz.) can roasted diced tomatoes

½ tsp. garlic powder

½ tsp. dried oregano

½ tsp. dried basil

¼ tsp dried thyme

1 tsp. black pepper

½ tsp. cayenne pepper (optional)

2 tsp. paprika

1 tsp. seasoned salt

 

Directions: Cook pasta according to package instructions. In the meantime, cook bratwurst links over medium heat in large covered skillet (cooking with the lid on will help the brats cook evenly and stay moist). Once brats are cooked through, slice into bit sized rounds and return to pan. Add cream cheese and diced tomatoes to the pan and reduce heat to low. Stir constantly until cream cheese melts. Add spices and stir well to combine. Add cooked pasta to pan, stir to coat and serve. Note: If the sauce seems too thick, add a little chicken stock until desired consistency.
